Lincoln's Coach Education Workshop

Mark your calendars! Saturday, November 16th, Lincoln High School will be hosting a FREE Coach Education Workshop led by experts in coaching! Interested in coaching in the state of Washington? Here's your start! 

Presentations include Health and Nutrition by Monica Van Winkle, Team Development from the Positive Coaching Alliance, Sports Psychology by Gary Chupik , and College Recruitment by Scott Laigo .


By participating in the workshop, coaches can gain 3 hours of required coaching professional development hours that can be coordinated with your athletic director. SPS staff members can also qualify for 5 Continuing Education Hours. Coaches must be present for the entirety of the workshop for the hours to count.

Lunch will be provided for all participating coaches.

Metro League coaches!

Lincoln is hosting its 2nd Coaching Development Workshop on November 16th. This workshop aims to provide coaches with education to better the performance, health, and well-being of their student-athletes.

High school athletic success is often determined by factors that have been deprioritized in traditional coaching. This workshop will hope to increase awareness among coaches on the topics of team development, health and nutrition, sports psychology, and college recruitment.

Presentations include Health and Nutrition by Monica Van Winkle, Team Development from the Positive Coaching Alliance, Sports Psychology by Gary Chupik , and College Recruitment by Scott Laigo .

The workshop will take place at Saturday, November 16th, from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, comprising of four 55 minute educational sessions.

8:30: Doors Open

9:00-9:25: Introduction/Welcome Keynote

9:30-10:25: Team Dynamics

10:30-11:25: Health and Nutrition

11:30-12:00: Lunch

12:05-1:00: College Recruitment

1:05-2:00Sports Psychology

2:00-2:10: Closing Statement
