The changes at the local, state, and federal governments continue. How do we, as leaders in community-led health care transformation, keep on building a vision of healing and well-being?
We are opening this Strategic Health Policy session to anyone from community-led organizations participating at any level of health policy and health care systems change.
We all can participate in making health equity policies a reality by redistributing your wealth to organizations actively doing policy work; attending political education; providing rides for legislative days; organizing people’s movement assemblies; contacting your legislator; attending hearings; or testifying on a bill.
Let’s plan for health care policies that are for us and by us. Join us!
Come together with us to plan, learn, and prepare for what lies ahead. We have been here before, we stand strong now, and we will continue to thrive. Ours is a collective tapestry of people power, resourcefulness, courage, and imagination in the midst of change. Each one of us has been preparing for this moment. Thanks to your vision:
Birth doulas receive Medicaid reimbursement for their care services – and at the highest rate in the country.
A state-of-the-art healing space, where care is offered through a lens of Black love, has a site in South Seattle.
Immigrants have programs with some secured funding for affordable health coverage.
and so much more!
Join us in continuing to weave collective wisdom, courage, and solidarity to create and improve policies that bring healing to our communities.
